Mood Board

This is the mood board I did showing our research and inspiration.
The board shows our 4 chosen icons, then the images of them we recreated, along with style and outfit inspiration for the shoot.

Sarah

This is just a quick tear sheet i put together to take to the shoot with us so Dave could get an idea of what looks we wanted to recreate. As well as the iconic images i also inlcuded some other images from that one that we could go off aswell.

These are some of my Images off my Phone from Behind the Scenes at our photoshoot. I only have images from the First two Shoots as i was helping with the Hair for The Marylin One and Was spending more time researching into poses for the Madonna Shoot.

The Last two images which were taken off my phone i really love as i think the way the flash has catched the lighting in the studio is really effective.

Outfit images for the presentation slides..

Here is the Audrey outfit, i thought i would post it on the blog so that it is ready to go onto the outfit section of the presentation.

Final Madonna Image

I have edited the Madonna image to try and make it slightly more edgy. I have added a background of similar colours of the lighting used in the photo shoot, to create the illusion that it is the background image that is creating the warm yellow colour over the model.

I also airbrushed the models skin and hair etc. so the image looked more perfected and flawless, but not to an unrealistic standard.

Marilyn Monroe Final Image

To make our chosen Marilyn Image look better we used photoshop to touch up the skin, hair and brightness etc.

The images below show the before and after effects of editing our image.

Twiggy Final Image

Below is our before and after of our Twiggy image.
On photoshop, Charl, Mel and myself, touched up the skin so it was clearer with no blemishes or too many pores. We also got rid of any bits of hair around the models head, including part of the pony tail behind the models left shoulder.

Audrey Hepburn Final Image

Today, myself, Mel and Charl met in the library and began editing the images we have chosen on photoshop.
To the Audrey Hepburn photo, we adjusted the brightness, as well as touching up the models hair and skin.

I thought it would be nice to have a QR code that links to our blog, and we can also put this on the presentation so then it looks professional.

Photo shoot, Madonna

This was Charl helping Harriet get her hair into a tight high pony tail to re-create Madonna's look.
The pose on this shoot didn't matter as much as it did for the other shoots because this one was more about the outfit. Here we've styled the model in a gold 'Jean Paul Gaultier' style cone bra corset.
We decided that these photo's were coming out a little plain, so we put a yellow gel on the lights to create a warmer background.

Photo shoot, Marilyn

This was Melissa preparing Harriet's hair for the Marilyn shoot, we decided to pin up the back of her hair to create a bob-type hairstyle.
There is an iconic photo of Marilyn where her dress is slightly blowing up, so we tried to re-create this, we tried to do this with a fan but found out it wasn't powerful enough for what we were after, so we ran home to grab a couple of hair-dryers to blow the dress up in the directions we wanted.
This was another of our poses for Marilyn. We thought that a black background would be best for this shoot as it makes the model's dress stand out more.

-Louisa

Photo shoot, Audrey

This was the Audrey shoot, we dressed the model with iconic props such as pearl beads, long black gloves and a cigarette holder.
This is my favourite pose of the Audrey shoot as the pose looks effortless and very similar to Audrey.
This was our first pose for the Audrey shoot, but it was quite hard for the model to get into character and the placing of the cigarette holder was an issue.

-Louisa

Photo shoot, preparing for 'Twiggy'

As this was the first photo we shot, we had to take a few test shots to make sure the lighting was correct, and also so the model could get into the swing of the poses we were after.
This was Melissa getting Francesca getting for the Twiggy shoot, for this she had neutral coloured make-up and her hair straightened and tied back to make it look like a short hair style.
For this shoot we tried out a few poses, this was one of them.

-Louisa

Meeting..

Tomorrow we will be meeting up to discuss the photographs that have been taken to decide which ones we would like to use and to start editing as we need to make some improvements. After speaking to Louise she thinks we need to make the Madonna picture more edgy so i was thinking we could maybe photoshop a performance background.

My favourite pictures from the shoot are near enough the same as Charlottes so I won't post them, but I've written down what ones they are so we can finally decide in tomorrows lesson on what 4 images we want.

Twiggy...

As the Twiggy image is just a headshot, it is the make up and pose that is the most important.
We will over exagerate the eye make up, using bottom eyelashes, which are iconic for Twiggy.
The hair will be parted and combed over flat, and the poses will include the model looking into the camera, with a sort of sombre look on her face.
